It should be obvious to every thinking individual whether Israeli or outsider that Israel achieved its greatest military victory ever in the 2nd Lebanese war.
After 30 years of constant, unprovoked harrasment by the Hizbullah of Lebanon, Israel, under the leadership of Ehud Olmert has attained peace and tranquility on its northern border.
The Hizbullah finally got what they deserved; a thorough pounding of bombs from Israel. Finally Israel retaliated against attack in a manner that left no doubt in the minds of the Arabs that Israel will seriously damage any country that seeks to disturb the peace.
This war was a victory because now the Arabs know that the game is up. Israel wants to live in peace and Ehud Olmert is leading the country to a new era of peace.
Olmert is the first Prime Minister Israel's had who set out to put a stop once and for all to Arab aggression.
So far, 18 months since then peace reigns supreme on our northern border. Hotels are full of tourists. Foreign investors are pouring money into the Galilee. Unemployment is at an all time low. Olmert has started serious negotiations to establish a peace agreement with the Palestinians. Gaza with all their social problems and kasam rockets has been jettisoned into Egypt.
For the first time in many weeks not a single kasam has been fired into Israel. The country is peaceful, prosperous and happy.
In the midst of this utopia that Omert has brought us so called experts conclude that the war in Lebanon was a failure and that Olmert is to blame.
Tragically the people shouting loudest for Olmert's resignation are the parents of the soldiers killed in battle especially the parents of the 11 soldiers killed in battle on the last day of the war.
If the war was a defeat they could feel that their loss was in vain and this would increase their sadness.
But the war was a great victory and their loss was not in vain. Their sons were the heroes who gave us that victory. The nation will be eternally grateful to them.
Unfortunately some power greedy politicians have decided to present the war as a defeat so that they can oust Olmert and take over.
They've enlisted generals and great experts to prove that the war was defeat. They are ready to turn victory into defeat to achieve political power.
The plot is as mad and irrational as the plot to murder Rabin. Just as that crazy plot had a religious motive so this crazy plot also has a religious motive. Only the aim to please the God of Israel can motivate such a disastrous scheme.
The people who have this crazy aim, the national religious party of Israel, Mizrahi, are being used by power hungry politicians, like Netanyahu whose megalomania will make him even use the devil to satisfy his thirst for power.
